Something Special For Someone Special

December 31st 2013, I woke up earlier than I normally will, but I was already a little late for "something". I rushed through my morning rites, and a couple of minutes later, I was where I was meant to be. A couple of minutes later, some new faces walked into the room, we were not properly introduced, but I was to work with one of them. My partner at the time picked one of them, and minutes later, we were working together and I didn't even know her name.
By evening, it was time for the watch-night or as some of y'all will call it, cross-over service. On new year day, she was on of the first people I interacted with, we didn't talk much, it was all about getting the job done.
By Saturday Morning we were done with the work, she and her pals went back to school, and Life was back to normal. But there was just a slight problem, I knew her name, liked her face, enjoyed her company, but didn't have her phone number. Now who does that? In this age and times?
I waited a whole week, then went to my immediate superior asking to get her phone number. Now considering where I work, that is a very odd request which on a good day would never be met. Considering I didn't have any official role to play towards her on behalf of the company. I have no idea why or how, but he did give me her phone number. I couldn't wait to call her, minutes later we were talking on the phone, and by the end of the week we were closer than I imagined.
We got talking and I realized we were actually very different but very similar. We shared a lot of common likes and dislikes, but stood on different grounds on lots of issues. In about two months of knowing each other, we've become best of friends, exchanged ideas and opinions, argued, agreed and disagreed, and she actually dislikes Liverpool F.C despite all I've done to win her over.
But one thing I've come to discover, she does occupy a special place in my heart, and everyday I'm grateful to God for bringing such a gem into my life. She has actually made the year 2014 a lot more fun than it will have been without her.
Today, she turns a year older, and I'm seizing this opportunity to wish her a happy birthday, praying her years be filled with joy, laughter, satisfaction, grace, prosperity, strength, favor, Love and lots of Peace.
Her name is Peace, and this is Wishing You A HAPPY BIRTHDAY, with even better and grater days to come.

Crazy Logic 101: Sowing And Reaping

Greatest Joswil, Joshua Wilson, Joswil da Great, Love, Memoir, Memories, Opinion, Peace, Plans, Reality, The Real Me, This Is Me, This Is Real, Thoughts, Wilson Joshua, Logic, Reasoning, Logical, Thinking, Sowing, Reaping, Action, Repercussion,
Don't tell me "Impossibility is nothing" cos then some people will go out of their way to create the "Impossible"

I just finish watching the movie "Notorious". It's bassed on the life of Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace. A.k.a Notorious B.I.G As it got towards the end, just when His Voice Over had ended and that of His mum was taking over, it was the scene depicting the procession to His burial. I began to see a massive similarity between B.I.G and Nigeria's own Dagrin. I remember shortly after the death of Dagrin, the crazy display of love shown by his fan, and a lot of shared philosophies between them. As well as what they had in common with TU Pac Shakur.
I'll dwell more on that some other time. In the meantime, I've been doing a lot of thinking. Almost every time I hear an adult and a youth or young adult have a misunderstanding, many of the adult or should I say older folks immediately start talking on how they were more respectful and well behaved in their younger days, How Youths of this days are stubborn, disrespectful and on their way to ruin.
They then go on to lecture you on Actions and Repercussions, as well as the principle of Sowing and Reaping. This always leaves me wondering, What exactly did these Folks sow when they were young? Considering how these "Adults" all claim to have live an Innocent and Well behaved life, I begin to wonder, who among them did all the wrong things we hear of now? Looking at the story they tell, almost everyone of  them knows or were friend with "one boy" who was stubborn and ended up wrecked. They also know "one girl" that wouldn't read her book and ended up as a prostitute. But if we follow the principle of show me your friend and I will tell who you are, shouldn't we ask what these "Adult folks" were doing with such bad friends back then? and where exactly are that "bad boy" and "stubborn girl" now so we can ask for their own part of the story? after all, there are always two or more side to every story.
As I was saying, following the principle of reaping what you sow, isn't there a possibility these "Adult Folks" are reaping the consequences of their youthful ways? Is there not a possibility that they are getting the judgment for all of their own stubbornness and rebellion?
A man whose son is repeatedly stealing His money, shouldn't we ask how much of His dad's money He stole, A woman whose daughter wouldn't heed to her advice and is insistent on following some sugar daddy, shouldn't we ask how many boyfriends and sugar daddies the mum had in her days?
In summary, there is a possibility the heartaches some older folks experience are the result of actions of their younger ones. But then the younger folks shouldn't carry on with their naughty habits, because they just might have to bear the consequences in the future. Even if an Older fellow is deserving of a punishment, If you are not in a position of Authority or Leadership over him, then it is not you place to execute such judgment.
Remember  "The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born."

Crazy World, Crazy Year.

2014, Blessings, Dreams, Greatest Joswil, Joshua Wilson, Joswil da Great, Love, Memoir, Memories, New Beginning, New Year, Opinion, Peace, Plans, Reality, The Real Me, This Is Me, This Is Real, Thoughts, Wilson Joshua,

It's a crazy world, that I realized long ago, It's been a crazy year, and it promises to get even crazier. I have no idea where to begin, Last year was great, this year is already greater. Like my pastor said, this year is going to be the greatest year we "have ever" lived, and subsequent years will be even better.
The Job has been good, business has been fair, I'm a month away from being 22 years old, and for the first time in my adult life, I'll be spending my birthday being completely debt free. Now if you know where I'm coming from you'll know that's an awesome news.
I already got my JAMB/UTME form, hopefully by this time next year I'll be in school. I already traveled to Port-Harcourt, I've not traveled outside Lagos in over ten years, and I'm about to go on another trip. I already read about 3 books this year, I don't think I read up to 3, other than novels in the last 3 years, Liverpool are likely to qualify for the Champions League, this time last year we were a mess, right now, mathematically, we might still win the League. My Aunt is happily married and has a son, this time last year, she was still single. My younger sister is going off to the University while my elder brother is through with his OND. My friends have got this endless list of good news for me every time we meet. I'm closer to God than I've ever been before.
You might want to ask, why is he going on and on about himself, is he being conceited, proud, or showing off. The answer is no. I'm simply doing what the Song Writer said. Count Your Blessings, Name Them One By One.
It's not like the year hasn't had it's challenges, but each time I look at the blessings, I just have to say "Thank You Lord".
I already look forward to meeting and working with lots of new and incredibly awesome people, I mean people I've spent the last couple of years studying and admiring from a distance, people like Chris Ihidero, Fola Folayan, Andre Blaze, Godwin Enakhena, and many others to name a few. (You guys should be cool with me, Just a dude with lots of passion and a really big dream.)
For everyone who is hoping for better things and better times, I pray for God's Grace and Favor upon everyone of Us.
One thing I'm most thankful for this year is new friendships. Most Especially a "Special Someone" who I met on the Morning of the Last day of Last Year. It's been a blessing knowing You, and I can say "I've found Peace".
I've chosen three Creeds to Live by this year, I hope you agree with me and even Join Me, as it might be a Life Changer for Us all.
 1. Remember the Sabbath Day to Keep it Holy, Remember Thy Hustle to Keep it Going.
 2. Study and Hustle Smarter, Not Harder.
 3. Don't Loose who You are, Trying to be Who "They" Want.
May this year be a Year of endless Peace, Prosperity, Favor, Grace, Growth and Blessings for everyone of Us. (Amen.)

A New Beginning In The Middle Of The Year

It's Time For A New Beginning

It's past the middle of the year, and thanks to a tight schedule, and mostly laziness on my part, On three blogs of mine, I've been unable to put up up to ten posts this year. So I've decided to sit up and put in more effort, so today, I'll share with you my plans for the remaining part of this year.
As some of you might have known in the past, I've been working on setting up an Audio/Music Studio for over eighteen months now, A couple of weeks ago, thanks to the help of close friends of mine, I've finally completed it and I'm trying to create awareness about it. You can do me a big favor by following any one of this links, or this one, or this one. Or follow one of the adverts to your right hand side. Kindly like one of my facebook pages, it will go a long way in helping with the publicity.
I intend to share a couple of pictures from the studio with you over the next couple of weeks.
I also decided to do a lot more reading, with a minimal of One book every month, and I'll share my thought on the contents of these books with you, as well as my views on some music, and movies I'll be listening to and watching from now on. I'll share with you lessons I learnt from them. I'll be focusing more on the creative content, as well as asking or answering any moral, spiritual, scriptural, social, political, romantic, or educational question that arises from them. I'll try as much as possible to avoid talking about the technical aspects of them.
I'll try to see a couple of Nigeria movies, I actually can't remember the last time I saw a Nigerian Movie. Although I do know there has been significant improvement in recent days.
Thanks to discussions with close friends of mine, I've decided to try to attend a t least one event every month. Probably a concert, comedy show, or art related event. I don't know if going to the cinemas or attending a social event like Marriage or Naming Ceremony will qualify as an outing, but I intend to share with you my experiences at such outings.
One thing I'm looking forward to right now is the start of the 2013/2014 Football Season in England, and for those of you who might be wondering, I'm a fan/supporter of Liverpool F.C (Y.N.W.A). I intend to give my review/opinion of every match we play next season.
I'll share more of my Love Interest or should I say "Experiences" with you. Here is a hint, I think I've found "Her". I'll share more gist about "Her" here or on GreatestJoswil.Wordpress.com
I'll also keep writing about my church activities, sharing the good news with you all, and for those of you who might be wondering, I'm a member of the Deeper Life Bible Church, and you can learn more about the church here.
I've also decided to start posting Infographics at Tipsyjoswil.Blogsopt.com
Not to bore you, I think this post is already long enough, so I'll say say my goodbye now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Grab a glass and share this toast with me
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally crossed over into 2013. I know I'm a couple of weeks late, but I had to stay over in 2012 to sort out some personal issues, and now I'm through with them, I can finally begin my 2013.
It will be very ordinary for me to begin this new year like any other, so I've taken time to sort out some pretty personal stuffs, and I've decided to share with everyone. I'll start off by giving a new year shout out to everyone who made my 2012 memorable. Hopefully, 2013 would be even more LEGENDARILY-AWESOME. In no particular order, or in order of my favorites (anyhow you want it.) Here are the people who made my year.
Tobisco: Yea, right, my best friend in the whole world. He shared my best and worst moments with me, challenged and encouraged me, prevented me from making a fool outta myself lots of time, and most importantly, has been a part of my search for "The One". He is easily one of the best and most important piece of my life for about three to five years now. When I do get married (Sometimes later this year "fingers crossed") He is going to be my bestman. I hope we do get to rock the year 2012 Bro style.
My Parents: I'll tell anyone who cares to listen, If every child gets the kinda support, love and upbringing my parents gave me, The world is surely gonna be a better place. I've never regretted having them in my life over the last twenty one years, and hopefully this year things will only get better. They are one of the main reason I'm closer to my goals now than I ever was. I pray 2013 gives us a lot more reason to celebrate.
My Aunty: Anyone who knows my aunty, Aunty Justina, would know how much of a wonderful person she is. She oozes of awesomeness. I think having her in my life gives me an edge over others. Seriously though, she helps make life choices easier, keeps me thinking straight, and comes to my rescue whenever necessary. I pray she gets all she desires this year, and hope I can give her more reasons to be happy.
My Siblings: Those guys rock, funny moment, tiring moments, best elder brother in the world, Theo, and really crazy younger ones, and a really lovely younger sister.
Ada Obi a.k.a Derby: She's my female best friend. Straight up and simple. She changed a lot of things about me, giving me a new perspective, and allowing me to see things better from the female perspective. I hope we do get closer this year, and she gets happier over the days. She's a really great friend, and I value her over most.
Fela & John X: Those are my two best friends in Senior and Junior Secondary School respectively. 2012 wasn't Our best year together, but I did get closer to John X, while Fela went off to the University. This two guys were pivotal in shaping me during the most fragile period of my life, primarily during my pre-teen and early teenage years. I hope we get to hang out more often this year, cos I do miss our stimulating and crazy conversations.
Princess Bose: In April 2012, I got a news that closes a chapter of my life, and opened the door to a new future. Thanks to this news item, I now saw myself from a new perspective, and although it was kinda disappointing (as in selfishly speaking) It still remained the best news of the year 2012 to me. Yea, my classmate from senior secondary school, and one of my long time crushes had given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Now before any of my class mates from high school begin the whole "wow, crush" talk, seriously, which of you guys never had a crush on Bose. If you didn't you gotta get yourself checked out. In all sincerity, I'm still jealous and angry with her baby daddy. Seriously, the dude just stole Bose right from under our noses, or should I say right outta my face. But then, that was a great reason to smile in 2012, and baby Joanne is looking beautiful and doing well. Just one warning for Daniel. Bro watch your back, if you slack at all, this dude is gonna be taking your place.
J.C a.k.a Mummy Toba: Whoever coined that saying that beauty and brains don't go together for female folks probably never met Jacinta. She puts that saying to shame with her royal-like beauty. We did a lot of talking over the years, and each time we talk, I respected her more. And Yes, I do have a crush on her. She's one of the peeps that made my year, because every minute I spent with her, was totally worth it.
Bukky: I wonder what the last five years of my life would be like if I should take her out of it. Last year, she was easily the girl I spent the most time with. It's funny how anyone would be willing to spent time with me. Seriously, I've you met me. I can really be tiring and boring at time, not to add that I can be obstinate and frustrating at time. But she's one of the reason I didn't end up constantly tweeting or updating my Facebook status as "Bored". Now she's off to school, I think it's high time to get that girlfriend.
Funmilayo: You know how there are some people you are permitted to get very close to, but you should never try being anything more than friends with? Yea, I've got mine to, and her name is Funmilayo. She's one of those girl that are impossible to hate. Only problem is she is an "for your eyes only" person to me. Thanks to some circumstances beyond my control, I'm supposed to, and will remain off limits, but best of friends with her.
Joy Ikegudu: Any of my classmate in secondary school will remember the one girl Joshua never saw eye to eye with on any issue. We just were never meant to be friends. It doesn't matter what was at stake, be it something as simple as who did or didn't speak, or something as complicated as Politics or School Subject, we just must be on opposing sides. Nothing could make us agree. I can't remember the genesis of our conflict, but now that I look back, I just might have an idea. But the year 2012 was the year of miracles. Y'all know how people are saying Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra shaking hands was a miracle, Ours must be an Epic Miracle, just as we mysteriously became enemies (or should I say rivals) we just became best of friends. We've spent time together, on the phone, and unbelievable as this might sound, I sometimes miss her.
Blessing: If I'm asked to pick a female friend of mine that is on the threshold of becoming the next superstar, my answer is bound to be Blessing. Man, this girl can sing. Although I've known her for over five years now, I got to know her better in 2012, and I can actually say she's a really wonderful girl. From what I heard, she dances just as well as she sings, although I've never seen her dance. I'll try to spend more time with her, and attend some events she'll be performing at. I'll like to believe that y'all will be seeing a lot of her this year.
Cosmos, Jerry & Timothy: All of my life, I've known this guys, and thankfully, I've never had a reason to regret that. We've spent the last fifteen months pursuing a common goal which once completed will be our first step to changing (or should I say taking over) the Nigerian Entertainment Industry's landscape. Y'all should just stay tuned to your Radio, T.V, Internet, Magazines and Newspapers, because I can assure you, You don't wanna miss out on the GIG Entertainment whirlwind, which is about to sweep the nation (or we just might take over the world while we are at it). All I ask of you is to give us all the support you can.
Fola "4lah" Folayan a.k.a Boss Lady: If you are an ardent listener of Nigerian Info, then there is no way you could have miss out on knowing the "Boss Lady". The year 2012 saw me stumbling on a revolution on the internet. #DearArtiste. I don't know how many of y'all might have heard of this, but Fola has in her little way been giving advice to artiste who are still trying to get that "big break" in the music industry. It started as just twits from her twitter handle, but has grown to being a twitter handle, a website, a family, a movement, a revolution, and a source of hope and inspiration to lots of people. I have a feeling that 2013 will see lots of artistes take this avenue as a stepping stone to becoming big time superstars. I've learned a lot from her, and know a lot of young people out there have done the same. I pray God continues to strengthen and empower her and her team at Dear Artiste.
Andre Blaze, Vector and Eva Alordiah: One of my reasons for looking forward to 2013 was my hope that I'll finally get to work with three of my favorite peeps in the entertainment industry. Two of my favorite music albums from 2012 were GIGO from Eva Alordiah, and BARracks from Vector. As much as it as become very difficult to listen to complete albums of Nigerian artists without being tempted to skip tracks, Eva and Vector just ensured I kept listening to their songs nonstop, giving me a swell time, and making the times spent alone bearable. Andre Blaze on the other hand finally came back to terrestrial T.V with the show Nigeria's Got Talent. Seriously, it was fun to see Andre Blaze back on my T.V screen, since I don't have a D.S.T.V to watch Nigezie. And he didn't disappoint, as he was actually my main attraction to the show (although I never tire of watching Kate Henshaw). I hope to see a Vector and Eva Alordiah collaboration, maybe even a joint album, just as much as I still dream of finally hearing Andre Blaze rap. (There have been talks of a mix tape some times ago). And I pray to work with this talented trio someday soon. Just as I wish them a fruitful 2012.
To all my special peeps, like Chinelo, Chinasa, Chinyere, Adetoun, Ibrahim, Chukwudi, Chidebere, Anslem, Uduak, Vero, Chuks, and all the other guys I failed to write your names here. Y'all are important to me too.
Then there are the peeps I work with, watch football with, and meet everyday. I've learned valuable lessons from each one of you, shared great moments with you, and look forward to a great year with y'all.
To everyone I mentioned or referred to in this post, I wish every single one of you a fruitful, creative, prosperous New Year.

Vacancy: Girlfriend Wanted

GIRLFRIEND WANTED
It's official, Your's Sincerely is searching. Searching for "The One". That special someone, who is supposed to make all the difference in my life, for whom I'm supposed to be willing to go to any length. Before we even begin to talk about this, I want to make one thing clear, "The One" can only be a female, either a girl, lady or woman. (I'll talk about the difference in another post, possibly tomorrow, if you wanna help me with that, feel free to drop a comment).
I spent the first fifteen years of my life looking at only the negative parts of the female folk. That wasn't my fault, as their case was not helped by the fact that some of the worst persons I knew on a personal level were actually females, while the good ones were all kinda in a competition with me. We were constantly at each others throat.
A couple of years ago, I made a new friend who changed my life forever. She made me see girls from a different perspective, showing me what I had been missing by not having a female friend, while teaching me a lot of things in term of relating with girls. She taught me things I'll never have known, things most guys never knew, and for the first time in my life, I actually had a non-competitive healthy relationship with a girl who wasn't in my family.
I'll have given anything to date her, she was that much special to me, despite all the dark side there was to her which I knew of, but there is a twist to our story. She stays outside Lagos. Not just outside, but very far away. It will be plain stupidity for me to consider a distant relationship at this time of my life, not with what I know, or what I'll love to enjoy from any relationship I'm in. Dating her was automatically out of the question. But then, I'm in need of a relationship, I think I'm matured enough for one, I believe I can handle the responsibilities and privileges that come with one.
So right now, I'm on the look out for a girlfriend, and will share with you what exactly I'm looking for in a girlfriend.
In the Meantime, I'll continue with my quest to find "The One".

Special Announcement

Diary, Lifestyle, Love, Lovers, Memoir, Principle, Relationship, Reminiscing, Thoughts, Special Announcement, Plans, Planning, Future,
I think this looks good???
Wow! It's been over a month since I've made any post on either of my Blogs. (For those of you that don't know, I do own a second blog. TipsyJoswil.Blogspot.com, There I put up wonderful stats, tips, as well as information I find important.)
I can't exactly explain why I had to take the break, but I think I was getting too lazy to type, although I had a lot to write about. So instead, I just kept my thoughts to myself. But after a couple of weeks, I decided to take more time and think things through, before deciding on what exactly I want to do next. In this short period of time, I've done a lot of soul-searching, as well as self-rediscovery. I've also taken a lot of decisions on my next line of action, both professionally, personally, relationship-wise, and concerning this blog. I'm gonna share this decisions with you guys as I deem the time mature enough.
The first decision is about my blogs. I've decided to start blogging daily without missing any day (God helping me). My post is also restructured, With a daily dose of Bible Verse, Quote, Picture, and finally, a personal entry for the day. Although I'll be retiring the "Song For The Day posts," But every Friday, there is gonna be a "Song for the week".
A special warning to everyone though, My personal posts are going to get "Very Personal" and also "Explicit". I started blogging to vent out what I had on my mind, but due to my need to keep things good looking because of "Some People" I didn't want to find out "Somethings", I never wrote about "Somethings". But from here on, things are going to get "Personal", and if you don't like what you see, leave the page. But if you do have any questions, leave it as a comment, cos I tired of answering questions concerning what I put up on my blog with my mouth. I wouldn't even discuss it with anyone, but if you ask your questions here, or leave a comment, I'll take out time to reply you appropriately here.
(Some of you might already be getting tired of this "boring, long" post, don't worry, I'm almost through).
Another decision I took is that next year, I'll be starting my university programs. A lot of people have been questioning me, wanting to know when I'll "go off to school" and why I ain't in school yet. The answer is simple: I'm not in school because I'm yet to decide on what to study in school, secondly I've been trying to fix some personal stuffs, and thirdly I want to be a "Millionaire" before going off to the university. (Hopefully, I will be one before this time next year. I'm actually working towards it, and for once my visions are coming true right before my eyes.) I'll continue to update you guys on my walk to the millions, as well as my journey to getting into school.
The third decision will interest my readers who know me on a personal level, although I'll repeat, If you ask me about what I write here whenever we meet, "I WILL GIVE YOU NO REPLY."
"Next Year I will love to Marry, But Before then I Want to Thoroughly Party"
As most of my personal friends know, I'm more of an introvert, and never go to parties, hardly going for events. but from here on, I intend to start going for events, outings, and parties. although I'll prefer Intellectual/Art related events. So feel free to extend invitations to me. But here's a note of warning, I'm not going clubbing. Unless the event is taking place in a club, but for me to leave my home, with the intention of going off to a club and dancing, or hooking up with people, "That ain't happening".
I'll be telling you of where I'll be visiting, as well as telling you of my outings and posting pictures from such events. Do feel free to extend your invitations to me, and I'll surely be there.
For those of you who already know, or are wanting to confirm if this is true, or hearing about this for the first time, here it is. "I Intend to Get Marry Next Year" preferably in the month of August.
As my avid readers already know, I do have a lot of "Female friends" as well as "Crushes", but I've never had a "Girlfriend".
Although I have no Idea who the "Lucky Lady" is going to be, or how it is gonna happen, I'm actually looking forward to this.
I intend to make this happen by "God's Grace" and I've been "praying" and "working" towards it.
I know this is gonna be a very exciting and adventurous journey, and that the next twelve months of my life is going to be very interesting. But I can assure you of one thing, you guys are gonna be my companions on this journey, as I'll confide in you on what happens, and also seek your advice whenever I need it.
There are still a number of announcements I have to make, but I'll only tell you when I think the time is appropriate.
On a final note, everyone that read this and know me on a personal level, I repeat "I'm not gonna be facing any questioning, and will only answer your questions if you drop them on this blog."
Thank you for taking time to read this, God bless you all, I love you all, and welcome to my crazy world.
See y'all tomorrow.

Why I Do Not Have A Girlfriend.

Am I the guy in the middle? I Wish.
Why don't I have a girlfriend? the question should be "why should I have a girlfriend". I've been in countless conversations with friends, especially one that I'm reuniting with after a long time. We'll ask each other of what we've been doing, how life is treating them, and how they are holding up. Inevitably, I'll ask if they are in any relationship, and the reply mostly will be a resounding yes, followed by a long story of how they meet this wonderful girl (or boy) who is everything they dreamed of, and how She (or He) is all they can think about all day. Those who are not currently in a relationship go on to tell me about this heartless girl (or boy) they dated, and how he/she messed up big time, which lead to the end of their relationship.
After all the narration, they'll ask for my own "relationship story". and I'll tell them "I'm not in a relationship". They'll say "ok then, what about your Ex-es". I'll reply, "I've actually never been in one before". This is followed by a ridiculous look of disbelief, and most of them assume I'm lying. I then go on to explain that thanks to a number of factors, I've not been in a relationship.
First and Foremost, thanks to my upbringing, I developed some principles by which I've actually lived my entire life. Originally, I never wanted to be in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, I just wanted to cut to the chase and get someone willing to marry, and go ahead to marry her. This was in turn aided by my "phobia" for the female folk. I use to be scared of girls, thanks to some earlier experience,as well as the fact that girls always posed as the only obstacle between me and the top position in most of my activity as a younger child, making me see them as a threat, which I must always fight.
As I grew older, I realized I'll probably need to get closer to girls to be able to achieve somethings. I got closer to a few very intelligent girls around me, I learned a lot from them, and subconsciously, they raised my expectation from any girl I'll get to date. This actually reduced the chances of any girl I meet. Because the first time I meet any girl, I begin to measure her up with all of my female friend, not one of them, but all of them. No girl has been able to combine all the positive attributes of my female friends. (I act hope to meet a girl who will make me forget about all my standards or expectation.)
Another issue I have to deal with is the fact that I began to have crushes on many of my female friends, (I've actually had a crush on all of my female friends at different time.) I realized that if I asked every girl I crushed on, I would end up dating too many people. The funny part was that the crush was on and off, I would get over it, and later, I would crush even heavier on them. It would also be very awkward if I have dated all of my female friends and then went on to brake up by them. Seriously, I'm better off crushing on all of my friends, than breaking up with all of them.
Finally, there were some girls I wanted to date, and some of them were also interested in dating me, but there was just one problem, They were in a relationship at the time, and I was not willing to break up someone else relationship, just to satisfy myself. So it was an issue of availability vs moral.
So here am I today without a girlfriend, but enjoying every moment of being single. And most importantly pleasing God. Since I do not have a girlfriend, I'm actually under less pressure to engage in acts of fornication, and I don't have to spend money on making someone else happy at my own expense.
But seriously though, I would very much love to meet that special someone very soon. (Today is not a bad day for that to happen.) Any girl interested in being that "Special someone" should feel free to contact me, we can start from "somewhere".
Until then I'm Single, I'm Free, and I don't have any Worries.

When is it Right to be Selfish?

Who Said That?
This is a question which most people will easily answer with a big Never. but time and time again, I have been in a position where the appropriate thing to do would be to be selfish. Simple.
Some people who know me when I was younger will tell you that I was actually a selfish little boy, and I'll testify to that. I actually was very much selfish, and I knew it. But at one point, I decided to be more liberal and selfless. Since then (By God's grace) I've actually been more of a giver than I use to be.
But the only time when I will ever be selfish again is if the recipient of my selfishness is proving to be foolish, careless, and unnecessarily selfish. Some people take your liberal attitude as foolishness, weakness, and a sign of Immaturity. They'll keep everything they have away from you, while expecting you to hand everything you own over to them, even when they don't deserve to have it. And whenever you ask for their contribution to a joint venture, they'll make an excuse, and give you a justification for their selfishness. Under such circumstances, I'll advise you be selfish to such selfishness.
Another instance where I'll recommend selfishness is when someone uses your generosity as a front for laziness. Because of your hard-working nature, your sense of dutifulness, and your willingness to share, some people will chose not to work and practically live off your labor. They'll sit around all day, expecting you to bring in all you have, while they sit on their ass and wholeheartedly help you to feed off your labor. In such instances, I recommend you go into full selfishness mode.
Finally, and most people will call me a selfish guy for this. when everybody is being graciously generous over a trivial issue, Then I recommend you can get a little bit selfish. I'm talking about those awkward moments when there is only a little amount of groundnut, or other food item left in the plate, and everyone is like "You take it, I'm filled." and then everyone is politely, charismatically, courteously leave the last piece of food item in the plate. I'll gladly pick it up and eat it. Let's forget about "big boyism" or ego, or "whatever". Let's eat and get our belly filled. Pick the last stuff left, satisfy yourself, forget about what others will think or say. And leave there.
In summary, it is sometimes necessary to be selfish, and I'll advice you listen to all sides of a story before passing your judgement.

An Empty Head, And An Empty Mind.

Blank Mind
Over the last couple of weeks, I've been feeling awkwardly lazy. My normal Self (or as I hope I am) is a hard working, creative minded person. But recently, the creative aspect has been functioning, but my body as been reluctant to complete the creative process.
For over Five years now, I've always had about 20 to 50 different ideas at different stages on my mind. From conceptual, to processing, to outputting (writing, or recording). It has always been difficult for me to lay down whatever is on my mind, as ideas were just boundless, ever-developing, and getting better everyday.
I had always managed to discipline myself to bring out whatever I might be working on, because if I didn't bring out what I was working on mentally, I would find it difficult to work on other stuffs.
But recently, things have just been crazy, I still conceptualize and nurture stuffs in my mind, but outputting these stuffs have virtually been impossible. And this is a very big problem for me, as my mind is constantly in a state of disorganization. If my mind was actually visible, it will look like a work-table where everything is messed up, and nothing is sort out. Or a one of those highly networked fiber-optic layer of multi-crossed cables, which are just spun into one another, and cannot be separated from each other.
Simply put my mind is a mess, because my body is lazy. or should I say "The spirit is Willing, but the body is weak". I actually wish there was a technology that I could just hook myself to, and it would just bring up everything in my mind, in a orderly manner that will be easily understandable.
I hope I'll get some of this stuff sorted out, discipline myself to work harder, and free up my mind, else my life could get real worse. (It actually affects my mood).
Or maybe if I get a

Stop Over Sexing Us.

I don't know where the idea of using sex as a sub-theme, or point of attraction for marketing every product came from. But one thing I'll say, Whoever is the originator of that idea deserves to be flogged in the public.
It is almost impossible to avoid the picture of a half-naked, (sometimes, even naked) lady every where I go. It is staring at me from the Billboard, the magazine cover, the center-fold of almost every newspaper, almost all adverts I come across, as well as products pack. And to these promoters and packagers, it doesn't even matter what product it is, they just can't wait to sex it up as much as possible. From T-shirt, to toothpaste, to toiletries, to food, to sport merchandise, to even schools. You name it, before you count up to ten of it's adverts, you are sure to find one with a half-nude lady, or shirtless guy on it. I actually would not be surprised to find a Church advertising it's service with something like this, or even a funeral home. (Although I'm surely going to get even more offended.)
For goodness sake, not every product needs to be sexed before we'll purchase it, some of us are actually offended by this stuffs, as they do a great damage to young people, who might want to remain chaste, as it puts them under immense pressure to engage in sexual activity.
It puts a big strain on relationships, as well as marriages,  as some women cannot stand their spouse staring at the almost naked image of another woman, even when the guy is not aware of it, but it just happens to be in his line of view.
It is in almost every movie as well as musical video we see on both satellite and terrestrial T.V. Images that a few years back will be rated for adult viewing only, are now rated PG, and in some instances, they are even deemed fit for general viewing. Time and again, parents as well as kids have felt embarrassed, when an inappropriate image pops up on the screen, and it's actually impossible to take it off.
This act has a lot of damaging effect on our society, and most dangerous of it is that it trivialize sex, making it loose it's role, value and importance, thereby making the younger generation who might have engaged in it loose value for family structure. It also make the youth loose the respect they are suppose to have in an appropriate manner for the opposite sex, as they most of the time feel they've seen it all.
This is a plea to content providers, movie and music makers, advertisers, as well as regulatory agencies. Please, be kind enough to reduce, or as much as possible remove sexual content from your product. It will do us more good than bad. Help us save our society, Help us preserve decency, and the small form of humaneness left in us. Thank You.

Good News in Bad Times

Thanks to Good News, I can Laugh at My Troubles
There are somethings in nature that just cannot be explained. But in the midst of all the unexplainable contrast we see in Nature, I've come to make a wonderful discovery.
When I make a decision to sacrifice something in the present, to take care of the future, it sometimes seems risky, foolish, and overtly dangerous. Last year October, I and a couple of friends decided to go into a joint venture, we were to pool together our resources to cover the expense of this little business. This is despite the fact that none of us had any experience setting up or running a business, but we all shared the passion.
Between October 2011 and today, we've raised and spent more than we thought any of us could possibly imagine. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we have still not completed the setting up of this business, and this has put a big financial burden on Me, as I happen to be at the center of this activity.
Thanks to this set back, the last three months for me has been a big nightmare, as I'm faced with uncertainties everyday, as well as frustration, anger, disappointment and despair. But I never regret any action I take, so I just wake up everyday put down the cares of the previous day, and continue with my daily life.
But the month of April was filled with pleasant surprises for me, as I was privileged to have more reasons to smile, On the first day of the month, A very close friend of mine, (more like my sister than a friend) had a beautiful baby girl. This filled me with Joy and Gladness, as this proved to be a very good tiding, in the midst of a trying time. Then in the middle of the month, another friend of mine had a wonderful baby boy, making me happier, and giving me more reason to continue with my struggle, and making me more of a happy man.
Every morning, I wake up to this gloomy world, and remember this beautiful children, and my face is lit with a great smile, as I realize that there is a silver lining at the end of every cloudy sky.
To everyone out there who is going through difficult times,  just take a few minutes to look around you, and I'm sure you'll find a reason to smile, it might seem like a very little or silly reason, but just enjoy that moment and smile, because "Tough times don't last, but Tough people do".
 God bless and strengthen You.

One Thing I Wish I Can Change

I never look back at whatever I have done with regrets or wishing I could go back to change things. I simply take an action, if it turns out right, I enjoy it, if it doesn't, I'll still go with the flow. But there is one exception to this.
Right now, One thing I wish I had taken more seriously, The only thing I reminisce upon and wish I had done right, That one thing which if I had the chance, I'll do differently, is simply, "My dental hygiene."
When I was younger, I refused all of my parents advice to take good care of my teeth. Whenever it was holiday period, or weekends, I simply forgot about brushing my teeth, and will only brush it whenever they insisted I will not eat, except I brush.
I felt like it was an unnecessary punishment, and right now, I'm paying the price for that. For the last couple of years, I've been having serious tooth pain (Thank God it is not Mouth Odor, that will simply have made me feel a lot worse.) but nevertheless, it still hurts. Last week Thursday, I couldn't sleep from all the pain it was causing me, this made me have a bad day in the morning.
So now, I'm saving up some money to visit the dentist, and see what he (Hopefully not a she) can do about it. I've also resolved that when I do have children, they are going to take their dental hygiene serious, whether they like it or not.
Seeing people with glistening white teeth smile just makes me happy (I'm kinda self conscious when I smile or laugh) and I'll want my children to be able to smile proudly (on my behalf.)
So parents out there, please, teach your children the importance of dental hygiene, make them realize that it is for their own good.

My Easter Experience

Where was I on Easter Day? I was at My Church's Camp.

For those who do not already know, I am a member of the Deeper Life Bible Church, That means a lot of things, and holds a lot of benefits for me (More on that some other times). But it also means since I was born, I hardly ever spent a Christmas or Easter Day at home. I am always at the National Retreat. (or Camp as some people will rather call it).
When I was younger, this made me constantly jealous of the other kids who were always celebrating these festive periods at home, and will make me green with jealousy with their tale of the experience festivities of the season, but as I got older, I began to realize that I was actually enjoying the benefit of investing in myself spiritually, mentally, educationally, socially and otherwise during these retreats, learning things I could never have learned elsewhere, and meeting people who changed my life forever.
This made me have a change of perspective for these Church Retreats, and made me actually look forward to them twice every year, so far so good, I've never regretted being a part of this wonderful experience.
I've decided to share with you all what I learned at this year's Deeper Life Easter Retreat, over the next couple of days, I'll share this on a new blog I'll be opening for this purpose.
I also intend to share with you lessons I learn and notes I take from lectures, books, movies and events on this new blog.
I intend to make the blog majorly for tips, facts, news, advice, pictures, and jokes.
Hopefully, it should be up and running by the start of next week. I'll inform you as soon as it is done.
I love You all, God Bless You All.

Is It Worth It?

Is It Worth It?
To me, this is one of the most important question anyone and everyone should ask himself before taking any action, or decision.
Most times, what we benefit from what we do is not worth the price we paid for it, and we only realize this after paying the price (But in Life, the price we pay for our actions are non refundable).
From the moment we are born, we are made to realize that life is a race, and only the tough survive, and in the process of building up our toughness, dexterity, experience and ultimately success, we build and destroy relationship with different people, making contacts as well as losing some, but each relationship is unique in it's own way.
There is family, friends, business partnership, playmates, school and classmates, co-workers, spouses, and many other relationship. Although most people will not stay permanently in our life, The mistake most people make is not realizing who was meant to be permanent or temporal in their lives. We sell out those that were meant to be permanent, and keep those that are meant to be temporal, and only realize our mistake late in life, when it is almost impossible to correct this.
To me, Family is the most important relationship, from your parents and siblings, to your spouse, then your children, and friends. This people should never be sacrificed in your quest for success, because when you fall, they are meant to be there to catch you. But when you push them away, they'll have no room to be by your side and give you the necessary support.
Finally, if at any time you realize that you might have pushed away your family, or true friends, never feel ashamed to apologize to them (Preferably in person, and not on phone or email).
Never forget this, Your relationship with people will one day prove to be your most valuable possession.

LOVE 101 : A Practical Course on Loving and being Loved.

For goodness sake, can someone tell me, What is Love?

Love is easily the most misused word in the English vocabulary (Same thing applies for it's translations in other language).  It is easily the most misunderstood word.
Thanks to it's continual abuse, "Love" is now one of the most dreaded words, we all want to say it, as well as hear someone say it to us, but the moment we hear it, we get all suspicious and defensive. "Love" has led to the ending of some great friendship, as well as partnership. It seems the moment most people hear the word love, an alarm automatically goes off in their head that says "Caution, Danger Ahead.".
The word Love has raised a lot of question, among which I'll be asking a few, and over the course of some time, I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability.
-What is Love?
-Differences between Love and Lust.
-Dangers of falling in love.
-Benefits of falling in love.
-How soon is too soon to say "I Love You"?
-Are there any laws binding Love?
-Are there any loop-holes in the laws regarding Love?
-What's the difference between love among friends of same sex, and friends among opposite sex?
-Is Love ever too much?
-How do you know you've fallen in Love?
-Why should I Love?
-Does He/She love me as much as I Love Him/Her?
-Should I tell my best-friend of the opposite sex I love her, when I begin to fall in love with her?
-What if I offend her?
-Could I loose a friend because of Love?
-What are the attributes of Love?
-Is there anything like true Love?
-Is Love ever worth the risk?
-Do I Love Him?
-What is "Biblical Love"?
All these and many more I'll try to answer from my perspective.
Although I'm not a relationship expert, (I've never been in one) My neutral view might just help you find the answer to your love questions.
Just stay tuned to this blog, and I'll answer every question you might have at the end of each post, feel free to leave your coments.
Remember, Love Is All,
God Is Love,
and I Love You All.

Only Me???

I've never been one for having much friends, despite the fact I've always had a lot of people around me. I'm even surprised when I show up at a place and people greet me and I'm like, "sorry, have we meet before". some people think I'm being proud or do not want to acknowledge them, they don't know I actually find it difficult to remember faces.
In spite of this fact, I actually rely heavily on my friends, and trust them with all of my secrets. I'll never do something without seeking the opinion of at least two friends, and thankfully, their opinions a=have proved really valuable to me.
But then, I sometimes try to imagine if I'd never meet one of my friends, each time I do this, the picture always look incomplete, even the most distant of my friends and the long lost ones, their opinion have proved priceless at different times in my lives, and I'll remain forever grateful to every one of them.
I wouldn't be who I am without the contribution of each of you, I sometime look at my life as a collection of bits and piece of different people, and I can actually point at these people and say I am proud of them.
So, to all my inestimable friend, friends of endless and priceless virtues, I want to say a BIG "THANK YOU" to everyone of you.
Thank you for making me the person I am to you, I constantly pray for your well being everyday, and pray God grant everyone of you your heart desires.
God bless you all. (Amen).

Song Of The Day: 2Face- Only Me

This song became a second National anthem in Nigeria, and it had ripple effect across Africa. When this song was released by 2Face Idibia, the whole of Africa stood up to acknowledge a true son of the soil.
The song went on to win multiple awards in Nigeria and across Africa, making it one of his all time fans favorite (Maybe second only to his earlier release, "African Queen").
If I was asked to rank 2Faces song, I'll rank Appreciate it as Number 1, Only Me as Number 2, and one other one as number 3, but most ladies in Africa would always rank African Queen as his all time best song, (But I have a problem with that, well, I'm not a girl).
But Only Me is like a song of consolation to those still at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder, letting them realize that they could still make it, and telling those who were already successful to treat others with respect as as the guys at the bottom might be at the top in the future.
The song as a comical feel to it, as it's tells of the boredom that will be apparent in the life of a millionaire, if he has no one to spend the money with. But it's a true fact, wealth is best enjoyed if it is being shared with friends and people we care about.
Ladies and Gentlemen I present to You, from one of Africa's finest, From the best selling album, Unstoppable (International Version).
Join me and enjoy the song for today, "ONLY ME".

Reminiscing (Nursery and Primary School)

Today, I spent time reminiscing over my bitter-sweet memories of the first formal school I attended. (I think it's the second or third, but I'm not sure). I remember being inquisitive, and wanting to know "the story behind the story".
I always wanted to know why black is black, and white is white. In the process of doing this, I meet some of the greatest individuals ever (in my innocent mind). I'll spend the next couple of paragraphs talking about my childhood friends.
I remember as a kid, I had two close friends, and we were more or less triplets, at school, you can hardly find one of us without the other two, there was Junior, Mubo (or Sumbo, I'm not exactly sure of the name anymore), and there was me. Junior was one of the most intelligent boys in my class, while Mubo was, and still remains one of the most beautiful, and most intellient girls I've ever meet.
At this point in my life, we were less than seven years old, and every one of us acted with the innocence of our childhood knowledge, and our minds were unpolluted with the serious stuffs of life.
Mubo lived next to the school, while Junior's house was just a stone throw from school, but my house was kinda far from school, but I can remember spending a reasonable amount of time at the house of the both of them, and I can remember going to Junior's house with Mubo before school resumed in the morning, and sharing in a plate of rice, stew and fried plantain. (in my innocent mind, it still remain one of the sweetest plate of food I ever eat outside of home). And there were still loads of other fun things we did together.
After leaving the school in primary two or three, They were what I missed the most at my new school, and I still miss them much till now. i sometimes wonder what my life will turn out like if I had remained at the same school with them, maybe I and Junior will remain best of friends, and maybe, just maybe, I might be dating Mubo now,  that's if Junior isn't dating her already (Since I've come of age, I always fancied my chances with her, and what we'll look like as a couple). I know they would have influenced my choices of other friends, education, relationships and career. One thing for sure, with them remaining in my life, my life would surely be different, (hopefully positively) but still, I'll give anything to go back in time and go through my teenage years with them.
They remain an essential part of the story of my life, and I'm actually making moves to reconnect with them once again, (thanks to a mutual friend) and I hope they have also made remarkable progress inlife.
Mubo and Junior, I've always prayed for you, and will continue praying for you.
I pray you achieve your dreams, and live up to your potentials.
I hope to see you guys soon, and tell the world more of your greatness.
I've always and will always miss you(until we hook-up again).
May God continually keep and protect you.
I miss you and Love you. God bless you.

Double Birth Day Wishes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JACINTA

Today is one of the Happiest days of my lives, Two of my best friends are celebrating their birthday, and I'm very happy for them.
I may not have a lot of friends, But I've learned to value the few friends that I have, and I've never regretted having anyone of them as a friend.
Celebrating their Birthday today are Timothy and Jacinta. Interestingly, they were both born on the same day, in the same year, and have me as a friend in common, but to the best of my knowledge have never meet each other, still they remain two of the greatest friends I've ever had.
I met Timothy through his relationship with my elder brother, and he has been like an elder brother to me, teaching me stuffs I might never learn from anyone else, and giving me priceless advice that have helped in shaping my life.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TIMOTHY
I met Jacinta in the first year of my senior secondary school. (High School) We didn't become best of friends immediately, but I had a lot of admiration and respect for her, because not only was she beautiful, but she was also well behaved and Highly intelligent. This made me yearn to know more about her, and over the years I had the privilege of getting closer to her, and knowing her better, she became my friend and confidant, and I'm happy and will forever cherish every moment I spent with her (Speaking, chatting, calling or visiting.)
To two of my greatest friends ever (and my long time crush) I wish you both a Happy Birthday.
With long life filled with Joy, Satisfaction, Love, Success, and everything your Heart desires.
From a caring friend, to two Priceless Friends, I say a big....
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!"
