My Birthday Speech.

Joshua "Joswil" Wilson
On a Monday, the 30th day of March, 1992, A phenomenal event took place, in a small town in Lagos state, Agege to be precise, a young boy was born. There was laughter, Joy, and Happiness. Seven days later, Family members, Friends and Other well wishers gathered for His christening. His father named Him Joshua, and his Journey through Life begun.
Thirteen years later, this young boy finished his Junior Secondary School, and had to make His first Big decision. He was to decide either to become a Science, Commercial or Art student in his Senior Secondary School. People already expected him to become the next big engineer out of the country, or probably a doctor, or maybe something big in the field of  Science and Technology. But contrary to popular opinion and expectations, He decided to take the less traveled road. He was going to be an Art student. A lot of people advised him against it, but he was insistent, claiming this was the field he had the least knowledge, but more interest.
Thus began the sojourn of Joshua "Joswil" Wilson into the world of Arts and Entertainment. Three years down the line, August 2008 precisely, He finished Secondary School, and decided that before going off into the University, He was going to try his hand at Multimedia production.
Long story short, Three years later, Joshua is a Video editor, Creative Writer, and M.D/C.E.O of GIG Entertainment, the company of His dream, which he co-founded with a couple of like minded friends.
He is not currently a big player in the entertainment industry, but in the next couple of years, He and His friends are surely going to be taking over the Nigerian as well as African Entertainment Industry.
 I am Joshua Wilson,
I say there's no stopping me as long as I've got God on my side.
And if You know You are not in My life to Help, then You had better get out of My life at the next opportunity You get.
So Ladies and Gentle Man, I say a let's make a Toast to Greatness,
 See You at the Top.

Song Of The Day: 2Face Idibia - Appreciate

An Appreciative 2Face Idibia

Today's song is in celebration of my Birthday (30th of March), I just want to use this song to express my Appreciation to God for adding another wonderful year to my days on Earth.
Being alive is not as a result of my ability, usefulness, ingenuity, or brilliance. I actually do not deserve it, but God through his Infinite mercies allowed me to be alive till this moment.
So on my Twentieth Birthday, I want everyone to join me and show appreciation to God by joining me to sing this song.

Word For The Day: 30-March-2012

My Birthday Prayer
A Life of Satisfaction and Fulfillment;
A Life fully dedicated to My Nation, Humanity, and God's Eternal Kingdom;
A Life that brings Glory and Honour to God's Name;
A Life that brings Smile, Joy and Happiness to the life of Those around me;

Bible Verse Of The Day: Ecclesiastes 12 vs 1

¶ Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
 - Ecclesiastes 12 vs 1

Man's Quest For Perfection.

Since time immemorial, Man's desire has been to be the best among his peers, to meet the needs of his family and all his benefactors, to be the best at what he does, and many other things.
But over the years, we've come to term the achievement of this goals as diffrent things, Goodness, Greatness, Awesomeness, and finally Perfection.
Considering the difficulty in acheiving this lofty heights and aspiration, people generally come to the conclussion that acheiving perfection is impossible.
That happens to be the first and biggest mistake most people make, their belief that perfection is impossible to attain puts a big limitations ontheir life, thoughts, beliefs, behavior and relationship.
But I've learnt a lesson over the years, our defination of perfection and success differs, and it's more about what works for you, as well as it's relationship and function to you and everyone with you.
It might be difficult or totally impossible to please everyone, but if you are able to get to some level of expertise at the things that matter the most to you, then you've attained perfection.
Basically, as a guy, perfection is being able to take good care of your family, being a good and faithful husband to your wife, a good father to your children, being able to share a couple of interest, time and meaningful conversation with your wife and kids, Being good up to the required level of professionalism at your job, taking good care of your parent, as well as you In-Laws, Being a good friend to all your friends, contributing positively to the lives of everyone around you, and giving a helping hand to anyone you can.
In doing this, you might step on people's toes, displease some people, and fail to satisfy everyone. But if these people do not have direct consequences on the outcome of your actions, then you are on the right path.
Remember, You can not please everyone, But in your little way, you can make you touch, maybe not in everyone's life, but atleast in the life of those that matter to you.
Perfection is Possible, Impossiblity is Nothing, It is all in your mindset.

Song Of The Day: Asa - Why Can't We?

A free spirited Asa asks "Why can't we?"

This is the Number 1 track on Asa's globally acclaimed successful album, "Beautiful Imperfection".
The song is very philosophical, questioning the orientation of most people, and opening us to a new perspective of things.
Lessons from this song are much and include the brevity of life, finding fulfillment and satisfaction, Man's quest for perfection, and many other things.
A literature student can go through the lyrics as a poem and learn a lot from it, just as a philosopher or counselor can pick it up and use it to a teaching or correctional aid. Using it to change the lifestyle of a person who is sacrificing human relationship on the alter of success.
So, "Why can't we be happy?'

but when there is nothing left to take away.”

and he maketh my way perfect.

The Love(S) Of My Life

I've never been one for keeping much friends, and interestingly, until I finished secondary school, I hardly kept a friend for period of five years, circumstantial incidence made it impossible to remain friends with the same person for such a period of time.
But in the midst of it all, I've always had some special persons, with whom I've been a lot closer to, this people were more than friends to me, they were more than siblings, they were more like a part of me. This people defined my life and made me what I am today, I owe them a lot of appreciation (and maybe some blames). Among these people, I'm proud to say I've met some beautiful, Intelligent, Interesting and simply wonderful girls.
Due to my unusual close relationship with these lovely girls (and ladies) over the years, a lot of people believed I must have dated a number of them (I Wish I Did), but our relationship was mostly platonic, innocent, care-free, and fun.
I've decided to write about them for posterity sake, so everyone who reads this will know them, (hopefully one or all of them also get to read this). And for anyone who recognizes any of these girls, "Congrats". While for every other reader, I'll use their initials instead of their names.

M: M was the very first girl I'll say I had a special something for, We met in the primary school, probably before we turned seven years old, we were part of a three man gang, with the third person being my best friend at that time, a boy who goes by the name of J.
M was special to me, as she was easily the most beautiful and most intelligent girl I knew back then, All the good memories I have of that school has M in them, after I left the school, I didn't see her for over ten years, but recently, I met a mutual friend who has her contact details, I intend to renew contact with her in the next couple of weeks. Maybe this time, I'll take my chances and ask to take our "Friendship" beyond "Friendship".
(The most intriguing aspect of M and I is that we were a part of each other's childhood, were best of friends, and our innocence in the midst of such a wonderful relationship is what I love the most about our friendship)

E.E: E was this my class mate at the second primary school I attended, she was the quiet type, not very confident, but what she lacked in confidence, she made up for with intelligence. We were very close until we finished primary school, people even made jokes of her being my wife.
We parted ways after our primary school days, I saw her a couple of times after that, but didn't talk much, but I'll admit, she looked better each time I saw her (I don't know how that's possible).
I hope to meet her one day, even if we'll be nothing more than friends, I think it'll be worth the time and effort.

JC.O: After I spent the whole of my years in Junior Secondary School avoiding girls like a plague, I got to Senior Secondary School, and there I met the most perfect combination of beauty and brain I had ever seen in my life (at that time), She was one of the most popular girls in our class/session, she was not only beautiful and brilliant, but she was also friendly and open minded, she listened to everyone's opinion around her, was a natural leader, and very humble.
This attracted me to her, and although we did not talk much in our school days, after finishing secondary school, we got to know each other better, and became better friends. I learnt a lot from her (I still do). Happily enough, we are still friends (although I'll love it if we'll be more than that) and I hope we remain best of friends for ever.
She changed and upgraded my standard for measuring girls, raising my expectations, and helping me to relate better with girls.

D: Soon after I got into Senior Secondary School, I meet a girl online, she stays outside of Lagos state, but I still wanted to be friends, so we kept in contact. Over the years, we got to know each other better, shared a lot of memories as well as secrets. I learnt a lot of things from her, as she opened up herself to me, making me do the same. She taught me a new type of trust, making me trust in a way I had never done before.
She changed my perception of things, teaching me to see things from the female point of view, helping me understand the female-folk better, making me a better man in the process. We were actually closer than most couples I knew around. From what I understood from her and other couples, I think there's a probability we might have been closer, or shared more than she did with her boyfriend.
I always wonder, if she was staying in Lagos, or someplace closer, and not half way across the country, Maybe, just maybe we will have dated.
I'll always be grateful to her for curing a better percentage of my naivety, making me more trusting, more knowledgeable, more experienced, and a better man.
I Love her very much, and we'll always be best of friends (I hope my wife agrees) .

B: When I got to Senior Secondary School, We also moved to a new house, I had a neighbor who lived just a couple of houses away, someone I'll normally never talk to, but we had something in common, our love for books. I grew up reading everything that I came across, from novels to textbooks, to newspapers, to magazines, just anything written or printed. I was not selective (except it had to do with figures, basically I was kinda allergic to mathematics).
And here I was in a new location, with basically no social skills, and I saw this girl who I never saw without a novel. We hit it up from there, became best of friends (Which I still don't understand how, cause we're very different).
She was my new source of novels and textbooks cause we were in the same class (but different schools). We had a lot of memorable and intelligent conversations. And she made me see another view of the female folk. She helped me develop my social skills, making me more receptive of people, and brought out more of the interactive person in me.
We'll remain best of friends for a long time (maybe forever, or until I get a wife) as she's proven herself to be very knowledgeably, as well as being resourceful.

C: This is most unexpected inclusion on this list, I knew her all through my Secondary School days, She was always in the next class to mine, we saw each other basically everyday, but hardly ever spoke with each other, but there are some facts I'll admit to, Firstly, she's very beautiful, also, she's very intelligent, finally, she's a friendly person, but we were never friends.
Until recently, (Over two years after secondary school) I was repeatedly visiting my best friend, and her house was just a few streets away. I saw her almost every time I went to visit him, as she was friends with his elder sister.
We began to speak with each other, and became kinda friendly, now I know her a little better, and I can actually say she might be "The One".

All this people are part of my history, they are a part of me, and have contributed immensely in making me what I am today.
To everyone of you I want to say a big "THANK YOU", God bless you all, an "I Love You All".

Song Of The Day: Chidinma - Kedike

This song remains one of my favorite love song by any Nigerian artist ever, despite the fact that it's kinda a new song.
The flow, rhythm, lyrics, progression and everything about it is very simple.
But another thing I love about the song is it's strong touch to Africa. The song is just to African, and totally impossible not to love.
The video is just something else, it totally compliments the song. And the guy (Dammy Krane) plays his role well.
Listen to it and tell me what you think.

I Think I'm Love Sick.

The last couple of weeks has been the best and worst weeks of my life, but beneath it all, I have suddenly been having the most unusual feeling in my heart.
It's something I've never felt before, It's so intense I find it impossible to ignore the feeling. I actually spent all my life ignoring and denying any feeling that might feel like love. I practically kill the feeling before it even buds.
But in the last couple of weeks, I've been consistently been faced with this feeling again and again. But the only problem is I'm having the feeling for more than one person, it seems everyone I ever had special feelings for are suddenly showing up in my life, looking even more beautiful than they looked years ago, they sounded a lot more intelligent than they use too, and worse of it is they are not avoiding me, they all remain receptive and friendly towards me, and I'm continually feeling blessed to have them in my life.
Only problem is out of about seven to ten people I'm having feelings for, I can only date one of them, as I have no intention of double dating or cheating on anyone, and I also want to have the right person as my date, as I don't want my present decision to have negative impact on me or anyone i the future.
So I've decided to leave all of them and see which of them would get into a relationship with someone else, thereby reducing my options. But I have my fears.
What if the person left actually has no interest in me? What if they all get into relationships before I can get back to them? What if I keep meeting more people like them, and I'm constantly having multiple options?
I'll tell you all about each of these girls at a later time, but until then, I'll leave everything in God's hands.

Song Of The Day: Michael Bolton - When A Man Loves A Woman

I've been searching for a song to describe exactly how I feel, then I listened to this song for the first time today. The song was unbelievably real, and describes exactly how I feel.
To every lady who listens to this song, I want to let you in on a guys only secret, everything said in this song is actually true. If you see this signs signs in any guy, trust me, He's in love.

Bible Verse Of The Day: Joshua 1 vs 8

First Date Ideas That are not Dinner, Movie, Or Drinks

Here are alternative Ideas for a first date that are least likely to leave you out of topics to discuss, or put you in akward positions. They also work for any other date, be it a couple or a group.

This article is culled from TheFrisky.com

1. Fly a kite.

2. Walk your dogs at the park or, if you don’t have dogs, watch the dogs at the dog park and discuss which ones you want to take home.

3. Volunteer — plant flowers with the Parks Dept., donate blood, or paint a school.

4. Play Scrabble at a coffee shop.

5. Go to a used bookstore and buy each other one book you think the person should read.

6. Take a hip-hop dance class.

7. Get a psychic reading or have your tarot cards read. Discuss the accuracy — or lack thereof — as a starting point for getting to know each other.

8. Have breakfast before work.

9. See a free outdoor concert.

10. Go to a book reading.

11. Go bowling — winner buys the beer.

12. Go for a hike and bird watch.

13. Play miniature golf.

14. Go gallery hopping and talk about which paintings you’d buy if you were rich.

15. Play ping-pong.

16. Be a tourist in your own city and visit a local attraction that neither of you has ever been to.

17. Ride bikes.

18. Tackle a rock climbing wall.

19. Karaoke!

20. Visit the Planetarium or Natural History Museum.

21. Learn to cook something yummy at the local culinary school.

22. If you’re going to eat dinner, do it progressively, which each course at a different restaurant.

23. Play hooky from work and have a picnic in the park.

24. Play chess at one of those outdoor tables.

25. Go somewhere with interesting scenery and sketch — then ask strangers to vote on whose drawing is better. Winner buys the loser a drink.

My Thoughts: I don't buy all this ideas, but I agree with most of them, Being in the public with a person makes you see parts of the person you'll normally miss when you are alone, and you are less tempted to commit immorality.
Remember, Stay safe, and stay away from pre-marital sex, It does more harm than good. and it in no way solidify your relationship. Don't let anyone deceive you.
Sleeping with you will not make him love you, it will only make him suspicious of you.
We'll talk more on such matters later.

Song Of The Day: Whitney Houston - Your Love Is My Love

This song is a beautiful description of a never ending, never dying, endless love.
I don't want to waste time describing it unnecessarily, The song is best experienced, and not explained.
So just follow one of the links below, check out the song, You'll be glad you did.

Pre-Exam Prayers

Tomorrow Morning, over a million people around and even outside Nigeria will be writing the entrance exam into Tertiary Institution.
This is one of the most dreaded exams in the academical calender here in Nigeria, students spend over all of the three years of senior secondary school, and sometimes even more to prepare for it, This exam raises the confidence of people, makes their future and takes them from being boys to being men, at the same time, it has reduced "Big Boys" to "Little Babies". It even drives some people to the point of suicidal tendencies.
Some people write this exam only once and get the desired results, while others have a couple of tries at it before getting their desired results, while some have written it over five, if not ten times, and are yet to gain the much sought after admission into Higher Institution of Learning.
I happen to have a couple of friends (Over Five of them, including my best-friend as well as my younger sister who are writing this crucial exam tomorrow, some of them are confident, while others are scarred,  some of them are optimist, while others are pessimistic and skeptical. I do have a word for everyone of you, "Fear Not, God is with You".
I pray you find favor tomorrow, find the exam easier, and meet questions from areas you have read.
May God's Presence and Favor be with You, Go in Peace, The Lord is Your Strength.
To All JAMB/UTME candidates, this is to wish you the very best, God bless you.

Song Of The Day: D.J Khaled & Others - All I Do Is Win

Tonight's song is dedicated to all the candidates of Tomorrows JAMB/UTME exam in Nigeria. I want you all to be in a positive mood, and enjoy the Night before your exam.
Use tonight's song to take away the pressure of your preparations for the exam and confess something positive into your life.
Remember, "All We'll Do Is Win, No Matter What!!!"

The Innocent Loving Heart Of A Child.

The child is easily God's most beautiful creation, (Other than Heaven) a child is an epitome of perfection, he is an imagery of innocence, and a pictorial representation of Humanity at it's best.
Children have a heart filled with love, care, tenderness, innocence, humility, confidence, and every positive attribute that could ever be present in any man.
No matter the level of  offense you might commit towards a child, the child might leave you alone in anger, hurt and distraught, but in a matter of hours, if not minutes, the child is sure to comeback to you, forgetting about the past, and acting as if everything you did never happened.
No matter what you own or do not own, if you give a child the opportunity, he is sure to love you selflessly, without fear, and with all purity of heart.
Children do not care about your past, they have a bright and beautiful picture about the future, they believe irrespective of the past, they can be whatever they want to in the future, they are willing to share what they have selflessly, and will do whatever it takes to pro protect a friend.
Children will love with all sincerity, and there love is not blinded by lust, selfishness, negativity, race, religion, political affiliation, ethnicity, or any other prejudice.
To a child, things only fall into two categories, good or bad. There is nothing like "complicated" in their dictionary, if it is not good, then it is bad, and vice versa.
It is simply impossible not to fall in love with a child, and if at any point you fall you are losing touch with your humane side, just take time out to look at the children around you, spend time in their midst, trust me it's gonna be a life changing experience.
Here's what the bible has to say about children:
Matthew 18 : 3 - 5 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

From this verses, I learned a very important lesson, "Children are God's way of teaching adults the most important lessons."

Song Of The Day: Whitney Houston - Greatest Love Of All

Learning to Love yourself, Is the "Greatest Love Of All". This is one of the many lessons I learned from this timeless music.
This is easily the greatest song Whitney Houston ever did, and to me, it remains one of the best song ever written in the history of mankind, both lyrically, production wise, and i any other way a music can be ranked.
This song is loaded with endless lessons, right from the first line to the last, and it seems every line is actually filled with a timeless lessons.
Please, even if you wouldn't listen to the song, please, take timeout to read the lyrics, it might change actually change your perception of Life forever.
I strongly believe that if people will live by the principles outlined in this music, then we'll have a world filled with happier and more loving people.
Remember, "The Greatest Love of All is Inside of You".

Forgiveness VS Revenge

Since time immemorial, it has been man's nature to offend his fellow man, this he does by word of mouth, or by action. But the question has always been after the offense, what next.....

Are you supposed to let the culprit/offender go scot free, or do you avenge his actions? This is a question that has bewildered humanity since the beginning of time.

Our reaction to this offense is affected by a lot of circumstances, like what is the gravity of the offense? where did it happen? who were those present there? Who committed the offense? and many other factors.

Deciding to revenge most times seems the right and logical thing to do, you feel if I don't exert my revenge, people will see me as a weak person, and others will want to treat me in the same manner this offender did. But if I revenge his acts, people will accept that I'm a tough guy, and they''ll stay out of my way, they'll never want to cross paths with me.
The only problem is this, your revenge might lead to other chain reactions, leading to a back and forth exchange of offenses and revenges. Whereras, forgiving the offender will make him respect you, he'll see you in a new light, as the bigger fellow, who can put past incidents behind him and forge intp the future.
Sometimes, someone offends us unkowingly, and it never crosses his mind to apologise, as he's not aware of your reaction or view to his action, and you are plotting to revenge on him.
It is actually more profitable to forgive an offender than to exert revenge on him, cos in most instances, it takes and cost nothing  to forgive, while you'll actually spend time and mental capacity, (and sometimes even money) to plot out a revenge.
When you forgive someone, your heart carries less burden, and you can focus you mental as well as physical and finacial capacity into other profitable ventures.
In most cases, it will do you more good than loss or hurt to Forgive, than to Revenge.
Remember a line of the "The Lord's Prayer" which says....
"And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. " Luke 11 : 24

Song Of The Day: Miley Cyrus - Simple Song

Off the Album Breakout (Platinum), Simple Song remains my favorite Miley Cyrus song ever.
From the first time I heard it (late last year) I've always spent a full day of almost every week listening to this song non-stop.
I'm not exactly a fan of rock music, but there are some music you just can't help loving, and "Simple Song" is a big example of that.
My love for this song is best left unexplained, cos as much as I love Miley Cyrus (from the days of Hannah Montanah), I've not been able to listen to much of her music, but it's impossible to not love "Simple Song".
Listen to it, and feel free to tell me what you think.

Love 101: What Is Love?

(Before reading this piece, I strongly advice you get a copy of today's Song Of The Day, Bob Marley's I s This Love? a.k.a "I wanna Love You". It will help you understand, flow with and articulate this piece.)
Love is easily one of the most misused words in the history of mankind, it is defined in different way by different people, under different context, and in different circumstances.
Everyone has his/her own definition of what love is, but it remains one of the most difficult questions to answer, I'll try my best to answer it, you might not agree with my definition, but feel free to tell us what love means to you.
Love is the indescribable feeling of unexplainable connection between two individuals.
It's not describable, cos it's a feeling that's just impossible to be appropriately described, and it's unexplainable cos it's better felt and expressed than explained.

I made a compilation of my favorite definitions and description of what love, (which I've culled from different internet posts over the years) and I'm happy to share it with you.

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds,
'What does love mean?'
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined
See what they think:

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'
Rebecca- age 8
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'
Billy - age 4
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'
Karl - age 5
'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'
Chrissy - age 6
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
Terri - age 4
'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'
Danny - age 7
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that.
They look gross when they kiss'
Emily - age 8
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'
Bobby - age 7
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'
Nikka - age 6
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'
Noelle - age 7
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'
Tommy - age 6
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'
Cindy - age 8
'My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'
Clare - age 6
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
Elaine-age 5
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'
Chris - age 7
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'
Mary Ann - age 4
'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'
Lauren - age 4
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)
Karen - age 7
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
Mark - age 6
'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'
Jessica - age 8

And the final one

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

WHAT IS LOVE?
LOVE IS:
The strongest feeling known
The all-compassing passion
An extreme strength
An overwhelming excitement

LOVE IS:
Trying not to hurt the other person
Trying not to change the other person
Trying not to dominate the other person
Trying not to deceive the other person

LOVE IS:
Understanding each other
Listening to each other
Supporting each other
Having fun with each other.

One Baptist preacher has aptly said:
“Love is not a namby-pamby, loosy-goosy, warm and fuzzy feeling. That’s Hollywood love. That’s sub-teen puppy love.. . . Love is not a warm glow in the gut; that’s probably heartburn. . . . Love is more than tender words and affectionate glances. Love is more than gracious gestures, good table manners, and finely-tuned social skills. Love is more than feel-good.Love is self-sacrifice. Love is giving beyond what you have to give and moving into what you want to give.”

 "Where There’s Love.":

Where There’s Love . . .
There’s an elegance of simplicity
An affluence of frugality
And a display of humility
Where There’s Love . . .
It is home in its true place
Even outside its own race
Destined there by divine grace
Where There’s Love . . .
It calms every fear
Provides a listening ear
And wipes the sobbing tear
Where There’s Love . . .
Compassion is its fight
Gentleness is its might
And forgiveness is its right
Where There’s Love . . .
Its friendship is very real
Risking all is no big deal
For helpfulness is its zeal
Where There’s Love . . .
Innocence is its age
Childlike trust is its face
And patience is its pace
Where There’s Love . . .
It finds excuses to share
And offers a daily prayer
For God to keep it from care

In conclusion, Love is more than what most people take it to be, in subsequent posts, we'll talk more about what love is, and what it is not.

It is best we stop striving to define love, and instead look for an appropriate way to express it.

Remember.....
God Is Love....
Love Is All.

Song Of The Day: Bob Marley - Is This Love (I Wanna Love You)

I don't know why, but I just couldn't stop listening to this song today.
It's unexplainable, some people might not agree totally with his lifestyle (I kinda love him, maybe too much) but no matter your argument, even if you're not a reggae person, you just can't help loving this song.
This song is a legendary classic, and will always remain an all time favorite.  Doesn't matter the time, place, or audience you play it for (except in a church) you're sure to get a positive reception.
Doesn't matter if it's a crowd of oldies, rockers, hipsters or hardcore hip-hop heads, they are sure to sway to the song.
If you've never heard this song, then you sure are new to this planet, or have probably lived all your live in a monastery.
So Ladies and Gentlemen!
Welcome to the show!!
Enjoy the Music!!!
I Wanna Love You!!!!

Child Abuse and Women Molesting.

I know it's the start of a week-end, and everyone have activated their relaxation mode,  but while trying to pick a "Song For The Day", I played a couple of songs, and then I listened to Luda Cris and Mary J. Blige's Runaway Love.
That song just changed my day, it opened my eyes to an obvious fact, which most of us see everyday, but may of us have succeeded in silencing our conscience whenever it points this out to us.
Child Abuse and Women Molesting is now a common sight in our society, and many of us are doing nothing to stop it, we feel "if it does not affect me, then it does not concern me". but this is wrong.
There is a saying that "evil triumphs if the good people do nothing about it", and another one that says "Where you live should not decide if you live". but this is becoming a norm in different part of the world.
As I listened to this song, (Runaway Love), I'm reminded of one of my literature text in secondary school, "The Joys Of Motherhood" written by "Buchi Emecheta".
I am constantly witnessing violence against women and children, and worst of all, the Female Child. I call upon all government all around the world, willing NGOs, and every individual, to always lend his voice and support to anyone being victimized. You can also search for NGOs that render help to victims of abuse and molestation, and seek for ways you can be of help to them. Report all culprits to the police, and the police should not treat such cases with Levity.
To every woman, Lady, Child or Girl out there, who is a victim of violence and abuse, seek help, report to the nearest police station, as well as all relevant government agencies. Please, Seek for help, don't loose your life to a heartless person who does not value you. And any woman who is in an abusive relationship should quit, no matter what you stand to gain or lose, it's not worth you losing your beauty, body part, or even life for.
May God be your help and refuge, And may His grace be Sufficient for you. (Amen)

Song Of The Day: Run-Away Love - Luda Chris and Mary J. Blige

To me, this remain one of the most powerful song Luda Chris ever did. Mary J. Blige also did a good job of adding very powerful emotions into the song.
I'm not usually caught up in emotional songs (Well, most of the time) but you just can't help listening to the lyrics and feeling sorry for the little girls in the song.
The song has captivating story-lines, and it's easy to hear each word spoken by Luda. The chorus is simple and easy to memorize and understand (It could get caught in your head).
I think this song teaches a whole lot of moral lessons, asks a lot of questions, and brings the attention of it's listeners to a very salient issue, "The Abuse Of The Female Child".
I say a prayer to every girl and child going through any of the scenarios in the song, I pray that God delivers you, and give you the strength to overcome your hours of travails.
And to every child molester and abuser out there, desist from the act, or Judgement and punishment will befall you, both on earth, and in Eternity.
