GIRLFRIEND WANTED

 It's official, Your's Sincerely is searching. Searching for "The One". That special someone, who is supposed to make all the difference in my life, for whom I'm supposed to be willing to go to any length. Before we even begin to talk about this, I want to make one thing clear, "The One" can only be a female, either a girl, lady or woman. (I'll talk about the difference in another post, possibly tomorrow, if you wanna help me with that, feel free to drop a comment).
 I spent the first fifteen years of my life looking at only the negative parts of the female folk. That wasn't my fault, as their case was not helped by the fact that some of the worst persons I knew on a personal level were actually females, while the good ones were all kinda in a competition with me. We were constantly at each others throat.
 A couple of years ago, I made a new friend who changed my life forever. She made me see girls from a different perspective, showing me what I had been missing by not having a female friend, while teaching me a lot of things in term of relating with girls. She taught me things I'll never have known, things most guys never knew, and for the first time in my life, I actually had a non-competitive healthy relationship with a girl who wasn't in my family.
 I'll have given anything to date her, she was that much special to me, despite all the dark side there was to her which I knew of, but there is a twist to our story. She stays outside Lagos. Not just outside, but very far away. It will be plain stupidity for me to consider a distant relationship at this time of my life, not with what I know, or what I'll love to enjoy from any relationship I'm in. Dating her was automatically out of the question. But then, I'm in need of a relationship, I think I'm matured enough for one, I believe I can handle the responsibilities and privileges that come with one.
 So right now, I'm on the look out for a girlfriend, and will share with you what exactly I'm looking for in a girlfriend.
 In the Meantime, I'll continue with my quest to find "The One".

 A couple of my close friends know fully well that I'm not a fan of tattoos, just as they know I'm crazy about Rihanna. So it wouldn't come as a surprise to them that I was drawn to this article detailing all of Rihanna's Inks.
 I had to share this with y'all before she inks up a new tattoo. But then, I'll be the first to admit that tattoos can be really "uglyfing" or in plain English, it can make you really ugly. But every once in a while, I do meet some people who look cute with their Inks.
 Just so Y'all know, I have no plans of getting inked up, not now, not ever.

Vacancy: New Friends Wanted

Friends Wanted

 The past 15 months of my life has brought me to a couple of realization. Firstly, I don't have enough friends. Secondly, I've outgrown most of my friends. And Finally, I urgently need new friends.
 My plight is not aided by the fact that I am kinda an Introvert. There are two proverbs that keep ringing in my head each time I think about these issues. Firstly, Change is the only constant thing. Secondly, the more things change, the more they remain the same.
 I've decided to open up myself to new people, experiences, and thinking patterns. Hopefully, I'll get to make new friends who'll help me in my quest through life. Every friend I ever had played an important role in my life, so also I've decided to share the roles for which I've got "friends vacancy".
 I need a friend who is very intelligent but quiet. His role will be to challenge me educationally, bringing out the best in me, while ensuring I still take time to keep my private matters private.
 I need a friend who is a socialite. As most of you probably know now, I'm not a known figure, but I think that situation can be helped if I have a friend who is well know, maybe not a celebrity. But at least someone who knows the social circuit, and can get me into any event I want to attend. Even the ones that are supposed to be strictly by invitation.
 I also need a friend who is wealthy, or has a wealthy parent. Either way, He/She or His/Her parents should also be very liberal with their wealth, thereby helping me with some of my finances. Although I'll only need their help in setting up some business. I promise not to waste their money, and to also help them with any investment they might be interested in. (I happen to have a good knowledge in that regard.)
 I need a Socially aware friend. Some who is at the happening club every friday, and knows about all the happening places, joints and events. He should also be Trendy, and very fashion conscious. These traits will hopefully rub off on me (Positively). Then I can also be a happening guy.
 I also need a crazy friend. The type who believes everything is possible, and is always willing to tackle the seemingly impossible. Someone who is always ready to take the leap with me, face any danger, take on anyone or anything, acts first ask questions later, risk everything he's got on something his heart tells him is right although every evidence says he is wrong. Someone who is impulsive, and will go to any length with me.
 Finally, I think it's time I finally get myself that girlfriend have been telling y'all about. Maybe then I can stop checking out all of my beautiful female friends, and stop day dreaming about "One Girl".

A Relationship summarized in one Picture.

 The above picture summarizes almost every relationship. It starts out with the guy doing all the work, trying to win the girls heart, attention, commitment and for him to become her "one and only". At this point, He'll do anything for her, give up anything she doesn't like, make any sacrifice for her, and only her opinion matters to him, as her thought, attention and presence is worth the world to him. He'll pick new habits and drop any old habit she might not approve of.
 When she finally commits fully to him, he relaxes a little, making her put in as much effort as he is putting in. At this point, they always have to meet halfway on every issue. Here, he begins to show her the real him, which he had to bury before. They begin to spend less time together, and if they don't begin to spice up the relationship, then they are heeding for the rocks.
 The final stage is the point at which the guy has seen all there is to see, or known all about the girl, he is bored with her, and begins to look for new adventures, probably in other girls. The girl meanwhile has sacrificed a lot for the relationship, probably putting a gap between her and other guy, so as to be exclusive with her "boyfriend". In the process, she has lost a couple of friends, or had problem with her parents, family, friends, and other people who use to matter in her life. To ensure she doesn't loose everything, including her worth, self respect and dignity, she'll do everything within and even attempt beyond her strength to keep the guy loyal to her.
 A way to ensure longevity of relationships is to spend more time in the company of other friends, thereby ensuring that the time you spend together educates you on not only yourselves, but also how you relate with others as a couple. You should also be honest about your interest from the start, and get to spend time learning about each others passion, interest and hobby. Because the more time you spend doing things you each love doing before you became a couple, the more you'll love one another.
 In the main time, I'll go back to my task of finding "The One".

 That song was stuck in my head all throughout yesterday. Maybe it's because I'm just too excited right about now. The feeling is practically indescribable. I woke up on a high (someone who does weed could never get the type of high I'm talking about.)
 As any of my frequent reader will know, I'm a real "Deeperlife Boy" and yesterday, we held a national celebration of God's faithfulness. It was all about praising God for what he did in the course of the year. Before the service, I decided to take a note of what I'm most grateful for this year. I'm going to take the liberty to share this with everyone of you.
 Firstly, I'm thankful for the gift of Life, It's by God's mercies that I'm still alive, as some of you might know, I'm not one of the most security or health conscious person. I've witnessed a couple of ugly incidents this year, and read, saw and heard of the death of others. But thankfully, I'm alive at this point. For this I'm grateful.
 Secondly, I'm thankful for My family. They are my most valued possession. My dad, mum, brothers and sisters, then I've got the world's best aunty, other aunties and uncles, and lots of other relatives. It is the moments I spend with them that I treasure the most. They educate me, entertain me, motivate me, and keep me going in the right direction. The good news I share with them has been a fuel for all my goals, and keeps me happy. I'll not trade them for any family in the world.
 Thirdly, I'm thankful for My friends, Every single one of them, both the ones I relate with everyday, and the ones I only get to talk to once a month, the ones I see everyday, and the one I've only seen once this year, and even that "special someone" I've never seen. (She is truly special to me.) Everyone of you guys are my motivation. You guys are the best in the world, and I'll always love and appreciate You.
 Then there is the GIG Family. That's everyone who has been a part of my GIG Entertainment project. You guys have shared my lowest moments with me, you've inspired me to grow to a level I only thought was possible in the world of imagination. You guys made me realize that if I can dream it, then "WE" can do it. You guys are the most talented, most passionate, most trust-worthy guys I've ever know. For that I'll be forever grateful. I know we've been through the hard times, but I know as you all do, that we are on the verge of making our first dream come true. And with God on our side, the skies will just be a starting point.
 There are still many other things I'm grateful for, from my best friend,  the one and only "Tobisco" to My Job, and everyone I work with. From Church, to My Role Models. Interestingly, I'm most grateful for all my foes, opponents, competitions, contradictors, enemies, haters, beefers, or whatever else you might want to call them. You guys have been my biggest source of challenge. If not for you guys, I'll have become complacent. So Thank You ALL.
 I'm grateful to GOD for all of You, and hope we continue with our wonderful "relationship" and hopefully, Better days will catch up with us in matter of this.
 I'll happily say compliments of the season to you all.

 Serena Williams proved a lot of doubters wrong by having a wonderful tennis season in the year 2012, after beautiful display at different WTA organized meets, she crowned a successful year by winning the Women's single of the US Open Championship.
 Defeating the world current seeded Number 1 Female tennis Player, Victoria Azarenka in grand style. It was a beautiful match, and we had a even more beautiful Champion.
 Although still ranked Number 4 in the Women's Tennis order, to me, Serena Williams remains my Number One Female Tennis Player (Followed closely by Venus)
 As my ardent readers know, I'm in Love with Serena, so I'll proudly share with you her joyous moment. Just as I wish her more fruitful days, in the years to come.

A Book and A Pen

 I have no idea what's the attraction between me and blank pages, but one thing I do know is that you give me a blank page, a pen, and a free space, and I can write about virtually any subject that comes to mind.
 I just love books, and I mean all kind of books, from novels, to historical, comical to educational, but there is something about blank pages. It just calls out to you, asking you to fill it with whatever you like, you could decide to draw, or write a play, music, poem, whatever comes to mind.
 An book never rejects your choice of writing, it just accepts whatever you put on it, it is silent, giving you a clear head to think, and do what ever you feel like.
 A blank page stands for Life, Creativity, Innocence, Beauty, Imperfection, Perfection, Openness, Receptiveness, Friendship, New Beginning, Purity, and everything Positive.
 It can be your best companion if you know how to use it well. Interestingly, books and pen is what I spend the most of my money on right from my primary to secondary school, as well as after my school days. I could spend a fortune on books, just so I can put my thoughts to papers.
 My most priced material possession has to be my books, you may mess with me, my money, or any of my other belonging. But the moment you lay a hand on my book, without my permission, trust me, You've crossed a line.
 I can't believe I'm actually talking this much about blank pages, I think it's time I stop writing this, before someone begins to think I've gone bonkers.

It's Not Always About Winning

Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Roger Federer

 It is funny where one can pick up some of life most important lessons. All my life, I've been a big fan of Tennis, although I've never watched a complete tennis match, either live, or on T.V. I only watch the highlights. But I still enjoy it.
 All that affection only grew when I could recognize two face, Venus and Serena Williams. Although they are not exactly the most beautiful ladies I've met, but they are actually my all time favorite female tennis players, I love them to bits.
 Recently, I began to under the technical aspect of tennis, that was when I fell in love with the playing style of Roger Federer. Unlike Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, He is not exactly a power player, or speed player, but instead an intelligent player, probably the most intelligent tennis player of all time.
 This trio made me appreciate the beauty of the game, and made me follow the game more passionately.
 The most important lesson I learned from watching the three of them play is that There is a lot of lesson that can be learned from losing a game, or an incident. In life, if we can stop crying over spilled milk, or hurting over losing, or concentrating on the harsh part of life, we can actually learn a lot by enjoying every moment, watching the way the winner get things done, or even stop fighting it when we realize it will surely be futile, instead of quitting, we should continue trying, while learning from our actions what it is that we are doing wrong.
 Another lesson I learned is that the odds might not always favor you, but your fate is actually in your hands. Like recently, I learned Serena and Venus had this infection or illness that made them get fatigued easily, but they still fought against the odds, and when everyone believed their career was coming to an end, and all their fans wanted them to retire, so they wouldn't continue losing, therefore saving them from any possible disgrace, but instead they fought back, and one of them went on to win the Wimbledon Open, as well as the Olympic. While both of won the women doubles. I hope one of them wins the New York Open.
 Even in Victory, they are always magnanimous, cheering up their opponents, to make them feel important, and even make them know that they are respected and appreciated.
 If I were in a tennis game against any of these three all time greats, I surely won't be fighting back when I'm one set down and losing the second set by three points, I'll just focus on learning and enjoying myself.For those of you who care to know, Serena and Venus are actually on my list of Celebrity Crushes, but one thing for sure, I'll forever enjoying watching them, even if they are in the twilight of their career, but Serena and Roger seems to be enjoying a resurgence in performance.
 I'll always love and respect these all time greats.
